Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter (2 sticks)

  • 1 egg

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/3 cup JEM maple sugar

  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Recipe

Preheat the over to 350 degrees

While the oven is heating, beat the butter and sugar with a handheld mixer or a stand mixer for about 2 minutes or until smooth. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and JEM maple syrup, and beat for another minute until ingredients are combined.

Next, add the flour, salt, and baking powder and beat until combined. Scrape the sides of the bowl as necessary.

Lastly, follow cookie press manufacturer’s directions on how to fill and press the cookies on to the baking sheet.

Tip: if the dough is too sticky you can add 4tbsp of flour to achieve an easier consistency to press

Decorate the cookies with sugar sprinkles and candied cherries before baking

Bake for 7-8 minutes
